Bank of England raises rates for the 7th time.
Last night the Bank of England hiked its key interest rate by 50 basis point to 2.25% as the global fight against inflation continues.
Asian stocks closed red last night. The Nikkei 225 (-0.58%), Hang Seng (-1.61%), Shanghai (-0.27%) and the BSE Sensex (-1.56%) were all red.
Europe didn’t fare any better with the FTSE100 (-0.57%), DAX (-1.57%), CAC 40 (-1.43%), and he Stoxx600 (-1.51%).
The SPX500 is still in downtrend as with most global indexes.
US Dollar strength is crushing emerging market currencies. US dollar Sol moves up past S/3.9119 Fibonacci 61.8%. The next major resistance is at the S/3.9338 swing high.
