{"id":2424,"date":"2022-03-20T16:46:07","date_gmt":"2022-03-20T16:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ewforex.net\/blog\/?p=2424"},"modified":"2022-03-21T02:36:28","modified_gmt":"2022-03-21T02:36:28","slug":"2424","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewforex.net\/blog\/economia\/2424\/","title":{"rendered":"Dollar Tumbles 0.90% on Fed Rate Hike!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>USD\/PEN:&nbsp; <strong>3.7815 <\/strong>Sol<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dollar Index:&nbsp; <strong>98.22<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bitcoin: &nbsp;<strong>$40907<\/strong> BTC<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gold:&nbsp; <strong>$1933<\/strong> an ounce<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>US Oil: &nbsp;<strong>$104.95<\/strong> barrel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>US Dollar index closed down for the week at 98.22.\u00a0<\/strong> The Buck opened at <strong>99.12 <\/strong>Monday, put in an intraweek high at <strong>99.29<\/strong> and an intraweek low at <strong>97.72<\/strong> before closing at <strong>98.22<\/strong> Friday.  It was the first increase since Dec of 2018 and in line with market expectations.\u00a0 US SPX500 Large Cap gained <strong>+266.7<\/strong> points\u2014a <strong>6.34%<\/strong> gain one the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inflation has been hot for over a year now and the FED has been warning of raising rates. The Buck has been on an upward trend since the <strong>89.20<\/strong> Jan\u2019 21 Intermediate (C) low.\u00a0 You would have thought that the FED tightening would have continued the bullish trend.  For the week, this was not the case though.  And the Elliott Wave structure also points to more dowside for the buck for at least a year or so.  The Elliott Wave pattern at the <strong>99.41<\/strong> March\u2019 22 high counts a complete zigzag for Intermediate (C) of a triangle most likely taking place.  And, notice that this week\u2019s candle is inside last weeks which warns of a reversal.
